“Inner Waves” symbolizes the ebb and flow of our emotions. Just like the ocean’s waves, our emotions can be powerful, soothing, or turbulent, but they are always in motion. This retreat is designed to help you navigate these emotional waves, understand, embrace, and calm them. It’s an opportunity to explore this inner movement and find harmony within yourself and with others.
A Deep Dive into Your Emotional World
The Inner Waves retreat invites you to dive deep into your emotional world, offering a unique opportunity to explore and understand your emotions, attachment patterns, and relational dynamics in a safe and supportive environment. Throughout the retreat, you will engage in both individual reflection and group experiences, allowing you to connect with yourself and others on a deeper level.
You’ll learn how your emotions and attachment styles shape your well-being and relationships. Individual introspection will be complemented by group exercises, where sharing and support from fellow participants help break down emotional isolation. This dynamic will foster authentic communication and expression, helping you to reconnect with yourself and those around you.
A key aspect of this retreat is working on attachment wounds and emotional self and co-regulation. You will explore how your attachment patterns influence your interactions and how the emotions of others can act as mirrors and support systems. By understanding and addressing these attachment wounds, you’ll enhance your ability to regulate emotions and foster secure connections. Harnessing the strength of the group, you’ll learn to embrace your feelings rather than avoid them, deepening your connections with others even in moments of emotional intensity.
The program also includes sessions focused on movement and relaxation, designed to help you reconnect with your body and release built-up tension. These practices will help you unlock emotional blockages, restoring a sense of flow and inner harmony.
By the end of this retreat, you’ll have gained concrete tools to manage your emotions, heal attachment wounds, and build more harmonious, authentic relationships. This experience is an invitation to grow and evolve, deepening your connection with yourself and those around you.
Inner Wave’s Retreat Program
Day 1 – Friday:
Arrival at 6 PM, discovering the space
7 PM: Opening Ceremony – Setting the Intention
8 PM: Introduction Workshop – Connecting with Yourself and Others
9 PM: Dinner
Day 2 – Saturday:
9 AM: Breakfast
10 AM: Emotional Dive – Understanding our deep emotions, differentiating between core and reactive emotions
11:30 AM: Inner Safety – Finding refuge within when facing challenges
2 PM: Lunch
4 PM: Inner Journey – Exploring the nervous system, learning how to manage emotional intensity
6 PM: Sharing Circle
7 PM: Connecting with nature or oneself – a time for silence and introspection
9 PM: Dinner
Day 3 – Sunday:
9 AM: Breakfast
10 AM: Emotional Body – Discovering where emotions take shape in the body
12 PM: Dear Emotion – Getting in touch with your feelings
1 PM: Integration and Closing Ceremony
2 PM: Lunch
Departure between 3 PM and 5 PM at your own pace ♥️
Please remember to bring warm clothing for the outdoor workshops. Choose comfortable clothes in which you feel at ease. The indoor space is shoe-free, so feel free to bring warm socks or slippers if you wish.
If you’d like to have water or hot beverages with you, bring your own bottle/mug.
Food and Meals
The meals will be vegetarian, made with local and organic ingredients. From Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, each meal is crafted to nourish both body and mind, in harmony with the retreat’s spirit. Gluten-free options are available at every meal. If you have any intolerances or allergies, please let us know, and we will ensure you can enjoy these delicious dishes without any worries.
The house – Cal Faro
Located in Catalonia, Cal Faro is an idyllic retreat center surrounded by nature, yet still close to Barcelona. The surrounding mountains and the serene tranquility of the area provide the perfect setting for introspection and relaxation. (Check out the pictures up on this page)
The house has been fully renovated, equipped with heating and air conditioning to offer the ideal conditions for a retreat. You won’t need to bring anything except your own soap and shampoo; everything else (towels, sheets, blankets, etc.) is provided. It’s easily accessible by bus from the main station in central Barcelona, and we will pick you up from the bus stop by car. You can also drive directly to the house and park in the courtyard.
Shared rooms for four people, with a shared bathroom, are included in the price. One of these rooms will be designated as a quiet room for those who wish to practice silence and introspection outside of group activities, while the other will not. Meet Sarah, our retreat guide and support
Hello!
I’m Sarah Joanne, a neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist. I work with a cognitive approach, practicing cognitive-behavioral therapy. The main idea is to regain control of your life and change the way you think when facing problematic situations that bring unpleasant emotions like stress, anxiety, etc. I also incorporate body-based practices, connecting the body with the mind.
I’m excited to meet you and offer my support during this weekend in nature, helping you disconnect from the daily routine and stress. ✨
Booking and Cancellation Polity
To reserve your spot, please click the link below and fill out the form, specifying the type of room you prefer and whether you are coming alone or with someone.
The price of the retreat is 420 euros and includes all activities, meals and 2 nights in a shared room. A first payment of 200€ will secure your spot, with the remainder to be paid on site
Feel free to leave your phone number in the form if you would like a call for an initial contact or if you have any questions before booking. I would be happy to call you back as soon as possible. You will then receive an email with payment details and all the necessary information to prepare for the retreat.
It is also possible to schedule an individual session before the retreat (online or in person) to deepen your preparation for therapeutic work.
